35th Annual Tree Giveaway

For 35 years, GVEA has proudly given away trees to help support smart planting and encourage beautiful, sustainable landscapes throughout our communities.

Saturday, May 16 | 9 am-12 pm (or until supplies last)
Delta – GVEA Office
Fairbanks – GVEA Campus
Nenana – Coghills General Store

Saturday, May 30 | 11 am-1 pm
Healy – Hockey Shack During Healy Heart Walk

This year, members will be able to choose from a Chokeberry (Aronia Melanocarpa), Siberian Crabapple, and Common Lilac.

Quantities are limited to 1 plant per family while supplies last. As you plan your planting this summer, remember to plant with safety in mind – especially near power lines and utility equipment. Before choosing a tree location, consider the tree’s mature height and spread in relation to overhead power lines, poles, and other equipment.
