🌟 Celebrate Filipino Culture in Fairbanks! ðŸŒŸ
Join us for an unforgettable day of vibrant Filipino culture, music, dance, potluck and community spirit! The Filipino American Society of Fairbanks proudly presents the Filipino Cultural Celebration—a joyful gathering for all ages that brings the richness of Filipino heritage to life.
Last year, Alaska officially recognized October as Filipino American History Month. This event marks the beginning of a new tradition, one that will grow and flourish each year, bringing our community together in celebration of our vibrant culture and history.
Exhibit Hall Opens at 4:00 PM
Arrive early to explore a variety of exhibits showcasing a blend of fashion, art, and culture. A special exhibit from Mana Alaska will be featured, a media collective that connects generations through storytelling by sharing the histories of Filipino Americans across Alaska. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the creative displays and engage with the exhibitors.
Theater Show from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM
Featuring dynamic dance performances and vibrant cultural showcases, the show will also include special guest speakers sharing insights about Filipino American History and Stories.

Keynote Speaker: Genevieve Mina
We are honored to have Genevieve Mina, the Anchorage representative who presented the bill to the Alaska Legislature that led to the official recognition of October as Filipino American History Month in Alaska. She will speak on the importance of this month and its impact on our community.
Ticket Prices for Exhibit & Show:
General Admission: $30
Members/Seniors/Military: $25
Youth (Ages 12-17): $15
Children Under 12: Free (Ticket required due to limited seating)
How to Purchase Tickets:
Paper tickets can be purchased with cash or check from any Fil-Am Officer or at the Asian Food Market – Date and other Ticket Sale Venues Pending.
Filipino Potluck from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
After the show, join us for authentic Filipino dishes prepared by our community and share in our bayanihan: a spirit of togetherness. The potluck is free for the Filipino community, friends, and guests. Come hungry and ready to enjoy the warmth of Filipino hospitality!
