The Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) is hosting the 5th Annual Startup Weekend Fairbanks on Friday, September 22 – Sunday, September 24, at the Hub co-working space, in downtown Fairbanks.
Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs – Inventors, Developers, Designers, Tinkerers, Makers, Techies, Nerds, Students, Lawyers, Investors, Marketeers, and Engineers, and more… come together to share ideas, form teams, in a risk-free environment, to build products and launch startups.
Startup Weekends begin with open-mic 60-second pitches, then teams form around the best, most viable concepts. Teams spend Saturday and Sunday focusing on customer development, market validation of their ideas, and building prototypes, with the help of experienced mentors. On Sunday, teams demo their products or share about their services and receive valuable feedback from a panel of financial and business experts.
Food is provided, and participants have access to co-working space, coaches, and biz development resources to jump in and focus on bringing business ideas to life.
The cost is : $99 for General Public, Military and Seniors are $49.50, and students are FREE with generous support from our sponsors.
