2 Day Course – OPTIONAL CERTIFICATION
Instructor: Deb Ajango
Saturday and Sunday, February 2 & 3, 2019
8:30 am – 5:30 pm both days
One of the major benefits of living in Interior Alaska is being able to explore the vast wilderness on foot, skis, bike, snow machine, and 4-wheeler. But while we’re out there, stuff happens. If someone gets injured, help of any kind can be days away. So to enjoy the outdoors responsibly, we need to be prepared for a variety of injuries.
The Folk School is pleased to present a wilderness first aid course to help students enjoy the Interior safely and responsibly. The two-day course will be taught by Deb Ajango, an award-winning wilderness medicine instructor who has taught wilderness first aid around the world. She lives in Alaska and has extensive experience in remote parts of the state. She understands the unique injuries that can happen here.
Location: Pioneer Park – Cabin 66 – Front Room
